John Wakefield

John Wakefield is an audio producer; An alumni of the UK’s oldest independent radio station (URY) and the prestigious Goldsmiths Radio Masters, he has won numerous awards and nominations for his work. His most recent production 'Wooden Overcoats' (Co-Director/Producer) was one of the most highly acclaimed podcasts of 2015, credited by The Daily Telegraph as 'a quietly significant moment in British radio comedy', and received glowing reviews from the national press. Itunes picked it as a podcast of the year alongside Kermode and Mayo's Film Review and Serial. Other projects include the BBC Audio Drama Award nominated sitcom Trimble, and audio dramas, comedies and documentaries, collaborating with new writing and performing talent.

Jeremy Mortimer
Producer/Script Consultant

Jeremy Mortimer is a freelance director and producer working mainly for radio and theatre. He has produced and directed over 200 radio plays and features for BBC Radio. Recent productions include dramatisations of James Joyce’s Ulysses and Orwell’s Nineteen Eighty-Four. Jeremy has twice won the Sony Award for Best Drama production, and won a Prix Italia in 2013.

Christopher Hogg
Producer/Writer

Chris trained as a Radio producer at Bournemouth University in 2001, and spent time working at BBC Radio Drama soon after. He has had work produced on Resonance FM. Rathband is his first major radio play.

Ben Henderson
Broadcast Assistant

Ben Henderson is a recent graduate from Goldsmiths University studying Media and Communications, specialising in Radio. Rathband is his first piece of work in the industry, and he is honoured to have worked with such a talented cast and crew on such a special project. Ben is keen to pursue a career in the industry and is currently seeking more work in radio.

 

 

William Tyas
Sound Recordist

Will Tyas is an artist from Grimsby and currently based in Brighton. He has made noise for the Barbican Centre, Apples and Snakes, The Wireless Theatre Company, and various independent creatives. His primary focus is in creatively capturing real life sounds and reframing them as sonic art. He is one half of Post Everything and is a Faber commended writer. He is pleased to have been involved with Rathband and is looking forward to continued collaboration with its masterminds.
